WHERE WE SAIL

The area of Sydney Harbour used for the Sailing Program is shown in the picture below. It is bounded to the west by the Spit Bridge and to the east by a line from the southern tip of Dobroyd Head to the the northern tip of Middle Head.

Sailing activity will usually take place in the smaller area, bounded by the northern end of Balmoral Beach, Grotto Point and the northern tip of Middle Head [see dotted rectangle].

If conditions dictate, skippers may be instructed to limit sailing to the area boundaries shown in the detailed, downloadable sheets for Level 1 and Level 2 trainees shown below this aerial.
